Palacruceros

Palacruceros  is a latest generation cruise terminal designed by Studio Vicini (Arch. Luigi Vicini and Andrea Piazza). Opened since 24 April 2007, it has been the centre of operations for many of the major cruise shipping companies in the sector. It is located at Pier Adossat at the Port of Barcelona. When passengers enter the terminal they are greeted by a two-level structure intuitively organized to enable a logical flow of in-bound and out-bound guests. Following ISPS regulations, terminal access is restricted to only passengers and employees. On the second level, passengers can either board their cruise ship for the first time or for those who have enjoyed a day in the city of Barcelona, do some last minute shopping. Also located on this floor are all of the services necessary to perform check-in operations. A wonderful terrace overlooking the Mediterranean makes the wait a pleasant experience for passengers as they board their vessel. Access to the vessel is via seaport passenger boarding bridges which are safely connected to each ship.

An expansion project was successfully completed at Palacruceros in 2014, which was designed to handle the continued growth expected for the terminal in the coming years. The new addition to the existing building added an extra 1,300 m2 of surface, beneficial to the thousands of guests landing from some of the largest cruise ships in the current international cruise fleet.
