Location

Barcelona is the capital of Catalonia and is located on the Mediterranean coast of the Iberian Peninsula. Its port and airport are considered important hubs for air and maritime traffic respectively. Barcelona International Airport -El Prat, connects the city with most capitals of the world with a wide range of flights and carriers. The Port of Barcelona is the largest cruise port in the Mediterranean, as well as a gateway for freight vessels out of the region and its hinterland.

The average temperature in the winter is about 10°C (or 50°F), while in summer is 25º C (or 77°F). It rains very little and temperatures rarely drop below 0º C ( or 32°F). The beach season is from May to September, but all year you can enjoy outdoor activities.
